Eagles! The ICOLPH Virtual Turkey Trot & Challenge is a 6 week long challenge in which the entire school will train to run, walk, or bike for a cause on November 24,2020. Together, we will challenge ourselves to conquer new physical challenges while also helping St.Vincent de Paul conquer hunger in our community. We will have a Turkey Trot Costume Contest, a student Drawing Contest for the design of our t-shirt, access to training plans, etc. Stay tuned for more details in all the ways this will help St. Vincent de Paul.

Race Day Info
1. Make your plan:
Costume Contest: For those who want to go the extra mile and put on a costume for our virtual turkey trot now is the time to think about it using what you have at home The most creative costume wins 1 free turkey trot t-shirt!
Map your route: If you have not already done so, decide what route you will take to complete your race. You can go to a trail near you, a park, or your neighborhood if it is walking friendly. Here is a few ways you can do it Map My Route MapMyRun
2. Get hydrated, dressed and warmed up!
3. Get your timer ready
4.Start your race.
5. Submit your race results and photos using Google Forms or uploading them to the AthleticApp if you registered there.

- don't forget to warm up and hydrate well
- be sure that your route is safe.
- All student athletes must be accompanied by an adult if performing the race outdoors.

Who can sign up and how much does is cost?
Any students and their family members can register for free. How do I pre-order a t-shirt? Pre-ordering is no longer available BUT you can still purchase a shirt from the stock we do have. Email Mrs.A with shirt sizes and she will send you the link for checkout. Prices for t-shirt are $15 Youth $20 Adult. T-shirts will be red and can be worn in P.E. The design will be picked from our Turkey Trot T-shirt drawing contest. Where do I sign up: Whats the difference between using Google forms and Athletic Net?
We are no longer taking registrations through Athletic Net. With Athletic Net you can record your race, see different workouts I post to prepare for the race and see your results compared to other classmates.

How will the Turkey Trot help St. Vincent de Paul?
All profits of Turkey Trot t-shirts will be donated to them. More to come. What do you mean by virtual ? Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we will not be able to run this race together. We will each run our race in our neighborhoods, parks, wherever you feel it will be safe for your students and family to run. Do we have to do the race at the same time? Although the actual race has to be on November 24,2020, you can run it at anytime that day. Times won't be due until Wednesday at 8am. Do I have to run the whole time? You are free to walk, run, bike, or use any combo for race day. What length will the Turkey trot be? Length of the race will vary based on age. If a student is healthy and their adult feels they can do more they are welcome to go for more. 0.5 Miles Pre-k, K, and 1st Grade 0.75 Miles 2nd and 3rd Grade 1.5 Miles 4th and 5th Grade 3.11 Miles 6th-8th Grade 3.11 Miles ICOLPH Adults |
